Julia Nirchberg – founder and principal expert at Academic Pathways Developmental Therapy (NDIS registered provider)

Julia Nirchberg, B.App.Sci. (Psych.) NDIS  registered provider, current active member of DEAI

is an experienced behavioural therapist, social worker and a developmental therapist. Julia specialises in working with children with learning difficulties.

Julia believes that early literacy and numeracy skills, emotional regulation and critical thinking can be achieved for every child who attends her unique practice. Time and time again, she is delighted to see her students reach their full potential, where most other services had already failed them. Dozens of Julia’s students were able to developed advanced learning skills placing them ahead of their peers.

Julia’s therapy sessions are delivered in a sequential form allowing the student to acquire new skills in a consistent and predictable manner. Programs address literacy and numeracy difficulties, language skills and developmental complications unique to each individual. The program also addresses strategies for teachers and parents to help the student learn at school and at home. Julia’s remedial programs draw on a range of behavioural therapies targeting a child’s physical and emotional well-being and motivation to learn.

Julia has provided support to hundreds of children and teenagers in school settings and private practice over twenty years. She is a creative therapist who tailors her approach to match each client and their therapy goals.

Julia has specialised skills in identifying learning difficulties in children and she is able to provide effective and realistic recommendations for improving learning outcomes.

Julia works closely with children, parents and school communities, including teachers, and offers comprehensive advice on individual learning programs.

Julia loves helping children overcome challenges and strive to fulfill their true potential.

She understands the importance of working with parents, schools and other relevant agencies or influences in the child’s life in order to become part of a consistent and holistic support system.

What We Offer:

This program is for children with speech and/or language delays or disorders, developmental delay, emotional and mental difficulties, physical and intellectual disabilities. It involves a combination of parent education, centre based individual therapy, a homework based program , assessment and review, all tailored to the individual needs of the student.

FEES

The Fees structure depends on each individual situation and will be discussed at the first appointment.

NDIS participants are eligible to use this services and the fees are fully covered by their funding.

Please note our fees are not refundable through Medicare or private health insurance.
